Quicklink Video Distribution Services has announced the launch of a new training academy that has opened recently in the U.K. The training academy courses are primarily aimed at two levels of users
- End User Courses – designed primarily for field video journalists but also greatly benefit anyone within an organisation who is responsible for contributing live or recorded video via the internet.
- Super User Courses – ideally suited for those that wish to understand advanced settings, customised profiles and Configurations. These Super User Level courses are suitable for Senior Field Users or Team Managers.
- Other available courses include optimising encoding on the satellite networks, as well as workflow and integration analysis of both client and server workflows.
The courses are being operated from Quicklink’s base in Swansea, UK and are free of charge to video journalists who wish to improve their skills and to understand optimisation of I.P Broadcast Workflows.
With comprehensive in-house facilities, full end to end training can take place allowing users to familiarise themselves with all aspects of the I.P broadcast system. Attendees may bring their own equipment or make use of Quicklink’s facilities which includes Ka Band, BGAN, GX, Thuraya terminals, cameras, network simulation tools, client and server side systems, Audio/Visual monitoring and recording equipment.
Participants who successfully complete the training programme will receive a Quicklink Training Certificate and Certification Points. The Quicklink Training Certificate content is practical and grounded in the real world, not just academic theory.
